Taking a closer look at one college’s security system
As consultant of record for multiple security upgrades and modifications throughout all 7 Centennial College campuses, Lobo helped take a closer look at their systems. The most recent projects for Centennial College include detailed security audit, upgrade of campus-wide video surveillance system, design of new security system for the new Innovation Hub learning site and the design of the new Security Operations Centre.
Lobo’s security projects included:
- Detailed campus-wide Security Audit of Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intercom, Personal Safety (Duress), and Emergency Phone Systems. The audit assessed all existing security systems, devices and associated technologies and provided recommendations to overcome all security concerns and vulnerabilities. The recommendations enabled the college to update security to the latest technology and best practices, based on the college’s current security concerns and needs.
- A new campus-wide IP-based video surveillance system to replace the existing analog system and increase coverage throughout all 7 campuses. The system included local recording and monitoring, as well as monitoring from a centralized location off-site.
- Security system design for the new Innovation Hub learning site
- Design of the new Security Operations Centre, consisting of new video wall to monitor all campuses and buildings. The project also included interview room.
