Extensive Security Upgrades in Preparation for FIFA World Cup 2026!

BC Place, iconically recognized for its retractable roof – the largest in the world, was designated as one of the Canadian host locations for FIFA 2026. As a result, this facility required extensive upgrades to its security technology in order to meet the challenges of hosting a world class event of this scale. LOBO was engaged for a multi-phase project that included detailed assessments and audits of systems and deployment strategies as well as development of design solutions, incorporating leading edge technology and analytics to further strengthen the facility’s security posture and capabilities.

LOBO worked closely with Client stakeholders to understand the nuanced dynamics of the facility’s security operation, the challenging atypical site conditions to be considered as well as threats and vulnerabilities to be mitigated. LOBO also carried out in-depth coordination with technology manufacturers to model potential options and ensure the development of an effective design solution.
